As an initiative to provide value to the members of the Young Associates, the Associates and the community, Joshua founded the Young Associates Perspective Podcast where he interviews members of the business community and talks about all things related to business, life and the community. This podcast serves as a tool to provide professional development and learning opportunities for young, business minded leaders.

Venture Coach, Stu Clark Centre for Entrepreneurship

The Venture Coach lends support to current students in vetting ideas, conducting feasibility studies, financial modelling, capital raising, capital structuring, market research and cash flow projections. Student entrepreneurs are also encouraged to meet with the venture coach to bounce ideas off another entrepreneur and discuss the challenges that come with starting a new venture.

Manager, Nine Restaurant & Lounge

In the spring of 2019, Joshua embraced a new endeavour of strategy and business development, learning, and leadership when he leased a seasonal restaurant at the Clear Lake Golf Course in Riding Mountain National Park. Nine Restaurant & Lounge, a casual lunch and dinner restaurant was born in spring 2019. Joshua remains active as much as possible in the day-to-day operations of Nine and enjoys the opportunity to develop relationships with the local community as well as seasonal and vacation visitors to the area.

Joshua was asked to speak and to and facilitate a class lecture for a group of MBA students at the University of Manitoba about marketing innovation and communicating new product benefits to consumers. Connections were made to Joshua's experience and thoughts on marketing from his perspective as the CEO of Longball Athletics.

Keynote Speaker for the Junior Achievement Meeting of the Minds event

The Company Program is an after-school program created for high school students to start and run their own business. With the help of a student group and volunteer mentors, students will create, manage, and liquidate a business in 18 weeks. The Meeting of the Minds event is the kickoff event to this program.

It has been a goal of Joshua's for the past few years to run a golf tournament at Clear Lake to give back to the community and raise money for an organization he believes in. Judge For The Manitoba High School New Venture Championship

Was asked to be a judge at the 2018 Manitoba High School New Venture Championship at the University of Manitoba. This role included evaluating a number of business plans a few days prior to the event and then listening to the formal business plan presentations and ask the presenters questions based on their business.

Apex National Business Competition - First Place

Represented the Asper School of Business at the Apex National Business Competition in New Brunswick with 4 other students. The team presented their business plan and strategy for a mobile application called MedicHero, an app for Paramedics that digitized their patient care protocols, medical dosage conversions and directions to the nearest hospital.

Managed the sales effort for the Manitoba market for a Canadian golf apparel company called Longball. Role includes selling merchandise at the wholesale level to golf courses as well as being a brand ambassador for the company and building relationships with prospective clients.

Managed the digital marketing efforts for this student group based out of the Asper School of Business for one year. Role included working with the other executive team members to manage events and help build the entrepreneurship community around the University and the Asper School of Business.
